Did you say “rabbit, rabbit” yesterday? No, for reals. On the first day of every month, you’re supposed to utter “rabbit, rabbit” first thing if you want good luck for the rest of the month.
I remember my english teacher in high school telling me that she did such a thing and I thought she was just plain crazy. Now I think it’s a funny tradition to keep in your household-because why not try to be the first to yell a ridiculous phrase and be a winner for a whole month? YES!
Also, do you remember when (back in the day) people used to carry around a rabbit’s foot for good luck? Ew, it’s nothing short of sad & disgusting to me now…but looking back I used to bring them with me everywhere. What was I thinking? If I’d known that all I had to do was yell “rabbit, rabbit” then I wouldn’t have bothered!
Well, “Rabbit, rabbit” and a happy FebRUary. Wait, happy FEBuary. Febru…Febuar. What. Happy February folks:
And here’s a completely irrelevant but sweet pin I found on Pinterest this morning. It’s a fun little “manual” for life from a 95 year old and I thought I’d share it with you! 🙂
I love everything about this list. These are all great things to keep in mind.
Have a great day!
